Every Single Building Designed Only For Hampstead.
Every Hampstead home plan and community feature has been planned to the finest level here by our Founders and our Town Planners, Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company. No other community offers the level of detail we give home buyers at Hampstead. It's custom work and quality at attainable Montgomery prices.
Each Hampstead new home is designed thoughtfully, then modeled and integrated into a three-dimensional computer model of the entire community. This level of detail gives home buyers assurance that their home and lot are exactly right for them. It's a level of planning that helps us accomplish our vision of Hampstead, and gives you the tools to envision what it will become year after year.

HAMPSTEAD FARM
Hampstead Farm is an Urban Farm Located at the Heart of the Neighborhood.
An urban farm that also offers homeowner community garden beds, Hampstead Farm is operated through The Hampstead Institute, a non-profit 501(c)3 focused on education, healthy food initiatives, and building community through design. We work with other community organizations, small independent businesses, and non-profits to promote local food and the appreciation for it - through gardening, community events, availability of produce and more. All of this is embedded in the neighborhood and the culture of Hampstead.
Our farm features the big red barn, windmill, community garden beds, and event space. The farm is also home to the new Vinson Market location, a locally-owned independent garden and gift boutique.
Hampstead is leading the way in national community building with Agricultural Urbanism as a mandatory component in sustainable community design. We believe the benefits of local agriculture are critical to sustainable, healthy communities.

walkability & health
Sidewalks, Street Trees and Connected Streets: Your Kids Will Thank You.
Hampstead is designed around human beings. Our streets are slow and shaded with trees. Our sidewalks are wide and connected. Our homes and parks are engaging and full of life. And our residents - of all ages and stages of life - can walk anywhere and everywhere. Imagine living in a community where you can walk to work. Where your kids can (really) walk to school. Imagine that you can walk to pull your dinner from the farm, or to the corner pub for drinks with friends. It's time to love where you live. Step by step.
park life
From Natural Preserves To Formal Gardens, Come Enjoy Our Park Life.
Our community is designed with parks, natural preserves, gardens and greens. In fact, more than 30% of Hampstead is green space. These special places offer an escape from daily life, and a chance to reconnect with nature.
sustainablity
Preserving Our Community For a Lasting, Affordable Tomorrow.
A self-sufficient community like Hampstead holds its value in a way that suburbs and isolated homes simply don't. Hampstead is walkable, multi-generational, and appeals to the widest range of residents. The value of your home is important to us: all Hampstead homes are constructed with green building features including maximum energy efficiency components, low maintenance materials, flexible home designs and much more. Hampstead also featured the first Energy Star 3.0 Home in Alabama. Over 30% of Hampstead's 416 acre community plan is protected as green space. This creates preserved open space for residents that includes parks, preserves, gardens, public squares, play fields, walking trails and our Hampstead Lake. The Hampstead plan is designed to preserve the land's old growth trees, waterways, and natural terrain.
